黑氛围（Black Ambient）是黑暗氛围（Dark Ambient）的一个子类型，其音色中融入了通常与黑金属（ Black Metal）和地牢合成器（Dungeon Synth）相关的元素，例如电吉他。相较于大多数经典黑暗氛围，黑氛围略显活跃。黑暗氛围中缓慢而阴暗的氛围在黑氛围中被推向极致的粗犷程度，其原始制作手法常伴随着尖锐的尖叫声和令人毛骨悚然的低语声，从而营造出一种极为阴暗、邪恶且具有催眠效果的音效。
