Doo-Wop是一种声乐风格，通常只带有一些节奏乐器。而Doo-Wop Revival隐藏了它的过去——歌曲听起来不一定像Doo-Wop，但这些新的音乐家在新浪潮（New Wave）的基础上融入了Doo-Wop的元素，特别是歌曲结构和和弦变化，更加亲和流行音乐（ Pop），有时也会使用合成器。
