A.K.A. Swedeath
斯德哥尔摩的Morbid、Nihilist是瑞典最早的两支死亡金属（Death Metal）乐队，他们都是在1987年和1988年左右开始在Sunlight Studio录制音乐的。Nihilist乐队的吉他手Leffe Cuzner很早就开创了独特的“电锯”吉他音色，这种音色后来成为该乐队的标志。这种音色是通过使用失谐电吉他（通常是标准C#或更低）、大功率Boss HM-2重金属踏板，有时是通过Boss DS-1失真踏板与单把吉他组合而成。随着这些乐队在当地获得关注，随后几年又有更多的乐队加入其中，包括Carnage、Dismember、Treblinka。90年代初的瑞典，似乎每个人和他们的兄弟都在组建死亡金属乐队，对于这样一个（相对）较小的国家来说，1990年至1994年间发行的重要作品数量之多实在令人吃惊。
