旋律死亡金属（Melodic Death Metal）是死亡金属（Death Metal）的一种风格，利用了重金属（ Heavy Metal）的吉他和声和旋律音色，但总体上保留了死亡金属的主要特征，尤其是低音调、严重失真的吉他和刺耳、具有侵略性的音色，偶尔也会使用木吉他。旋律死亡金属也会使用Blast Beat，但并不像传统死亡金属那样频繁。有些乐队还在音乐中加入键盘。主唱风格通常比较尖锐，有时会交替使用清唱和死嗓。
在20世纪90年代早期和中期，旋律死亡金属由Carcass在其专辑《Heartwork》中开创，瑞典乐队如Dark Tranquillity、In Flames、At the Gates等也是旋律死亡金属的先驱。这些瑞典乐队帮助普及了这一流派，并很快以哥德堡金属场景为中心。到20世纪90年代末，金属核（ Metalcore）乐队开始融入旋律死亡金属的元素，形成了旋律金属核（Melodic Metalcore）。该流派对2000年代中期的美国重金属新浪潮（ NWOAHM）产生了重要影响。
